Use different fonts to liven up documents and publications. You can find hundreds of fonts online, free for the taking.
- Type "free fonts" in a search engine. Make sure the phrase has quotation marks around it so the search engine doesn't pick up every instance of the word "font" in a Web page.
- Visit graphic arts and design sites. Many offer free fonts or links to sites that offer free fonts.
- Check out sites that offer free clip art or Web art. Look for Font headings.
- Check the home page of your favorite word processing or paint program. Some offer free fonts or font packages with upgrade or purchase.
- Check your existing programs and CD-ROMs to see if they came with extra fonts. Many programs package fonts in an Extras or Add-On folder on the installation CD-ROM.
